CPD Program
About CPD/MOPSThe Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine offers a Maintenance of Professional Standards Program (MOPS) in which Fellows are encouraged to participate. This program is also open to non-Fellows who can show proof of specialist registration.
Increasingly, government authorities are requiring participation in a College/Faculty's Continuing Proessional Development Program. While this Faculty's MOPS Program remains voluntary for Fellows, it is strongly recommended that Fellows, particularly those who undertake medico-legal work or provide expert opinion, do participate. If you are currently participating in the program, you may enter your points online in "MyCPD". Please note that the cut-off date for online submission of CPD/MOPS is 31 March of each calendar year.

During the Annual General Meeting in Melbourne this year, CPD Lead Fellow A/Professor James Ross gave an important presentation regarding the changes occurring to CPD for the Faculty and for the College. We urge all of our Fellows to take the time to watch this presentation and be informed about the changes being made to the Faculty's CPD Program and how this will impact on you.As many of you know, Compulsory CPD compliance is to be introduced across the college in 2011. It will be a requirement of fellowship to comply with a CPD program relevant to your practice. Any FAFOEM who intends to utilise a program other than the AFOEM's MyCPD program in 2011 will need to seek approval prior to the commencement of the program.
